Towards provable security of Rijndael-like SPN ciphers against differential attacks

Abstract

The strength of Rijndael-like ciphers to the truncated dierential
attack is considered. Theorems about the absence of eective truncated (byte)
dierential characteristics and eective truncated (byte) dierentials for ciphers
with sucient number of rounds are proved.
