Abstract Pythagorean law and corresponding functional equations

Abstract

Motivated by a result of Lucio R. Berrone [1] we deal with the functional equation
f(x+y) = f(x) + f(y) + 2f (\Phi(x,y))
and its variants to distinguish the classical Pythagorean Law from among its numerous abstract
generalizations.
